Marcus Jansen only US selected Painter at 7th. International Art Prize Arte Laguna 2013, Venice Italy.

The Italian Cultural Association MoCA (Modern Contemporary Art), in collaboration with Arte Laguna, organized the Seventh Edition of the International Art Prize Arte Laguna, aimed at promoting and enhancing contemporary art.

This important event will take place in Venice in March 2013 and will contemplate prizes in money, a collective exhibition in Venice Arsenale, a special exhibition at the Romanian Institute for Arts Culture and Research, a number of exhibitions in art galleries and an official catalogue.

Marcus Jansen is the only American Painter invited to show in the painting category at the 7th Arte Laguna Prize Exhibition. Recently, the New York City native was selected for theNew American Paintings No. 94 cover and the upcomingStudio Visit publication both published byThe Open Studio Press.

Jansen also wonThe Dave Bown ProjectInternational Award at the 5th Semi- Annual andwas awarded The Aesthetica Art Prize, in York, UK this year. His collections include the PERMM Museum of Contemporary Art, The Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, The Moscow Museum of Modern Art (MMOMA), The New Britain Museum of American Art and the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Art, Taiwan.
