The Party in the Garden will feature a live musical performance by the band fun., whose platinum album, Some Nights, earned fun. six nominations at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards, with the band winning two of the top awardsSong of the Year and Best New Artist. Some Nights was also named one of the top albums of the year by Rolling Stone, Spin, NPR, and Entertainment Weekly, who also named fun. one of their Entertainers of the Year. The performance will take place in MoMAs Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Sculpture Garden as part of the galas After-Party, which goes from 9:00 p.m. to midnight.
The Party in the Garden benefits The Annual Fund of The Museum of Modern Art and the maintenance of The Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Sculpture Garden. The party also benefits the Museums general operating fund, helping to make possible the Museums educational programs and the care, study, and exhibition of its collection.
Tables to the dinner range from $25,000 to $100,000, with individual tickets beginning at $2,500. Tickets to the After Party from 9:00 p.m. to midnight are $200 in advance and $300 at the door. VIP tickets for the After-Party are $500, which grants the ticketholder access to the Museums Terrace 5 Lounge from 9:00 p.m. to midnight.
