Creating Unique Birth Announcements… Easy as 1, 2, 3

New parents give a lot of thought into creating the perfect birth announcement. They want one that will be cherished by family and friends for years to come, and hold that prominent spot in the baby book.

Here are a few tips and tricks to help you create a birth announcement masterpiece. Remember, anyone can do them and even on a budget (and a timeline). There are a few factors that you must decide on before the fun can begin, such as: size, price and overall color scheme. One photo or multiple photos?

While one photo takes center stage it's nice to include more photos for variety, and to show off that tiny little being. Start with the basics and necessary items to include on the announcement.

Make sure the name is prominent!

You've consulted the baby name books as if they were the Bible and now you get to announce the name to the world. Don't let the other items to note on the announcement including the date and time born, weight and length, drown out what is most important.

Choosing introductory words.

Opening with, "Welcomed By," to "Proud Parents," or "Welcomed With Love," are just a few that you could use. Just remember there is no right or wrong way to do this, it all comes down to your choice of design and style. What a great way to welcome the baby into the family! • Most Educational - Images and accompanying interpretive descriptions that tell a geologic story or elucidate a geologic process.
