Fun For Teens At Dance Camp At ADTC In Chicago

February 25th, 2013, United States of America- American Dance Training Camp, popularly known as ADTC, has announced the schedule for the upcoming dance camps in California. The dance camp company is popular with the teenagers who love to be a part of their summer dance workshop. The reason behind the popularity is that the camp not only focuses on dance styles but on other activities as well. It offers fun filled activities that keep the campers entertained and helps develop their social skills.

Elaborating on the dance camp, the spokesperson of ADTC says, We started the summer camp almost a decade ago and have been growing since then. The reason behind our popularity is that we ensure that we have the best instructors who can help the girls to learn the dance style better. Our summer dance camp is not only about dancing but encourages the campers to participate in other activities as well. We have provision for activities like hiking, swimming, art and craft and many more things. The campers are made to participate in groups and individually also. This helps in their overall personality growth and improves their self-confidence.

ADTC offers different kinds of camp programs and teaches various dance disciplines. The schedule and duration of the dance camp from California depends upon the program you choose. The campers can choose one or more core dance style as per the program and they are taught different variations of that dance form. They can then show what they learnt during the week on performance day which is held on Friday. This is meant for friends and family.

The registration for the dance camp has started and the company is offering early bird discount. Lodging and meals are provided to participants and the company ensures that they are safe and comfortable. Apart from California, they have dance camps in Chicago and other parts of USA as well. This gives you the ease to register your daughter with the one that is closer to your home.
Adding more about the camp, the spokesperson says, Ours is an all girls dance camp and is open to children aged between 8 years and 17 years. The campers are grouped into different batches as per their dance skills. It is open to beginners, intermediate and to expert dancers also who can join it and learn more. The different styles taught at the summer camp include ballet, jazz, modern, lyrical, street jazz, hip-hop, musical theater and more.

Press Pose & Print Photo Booths Prepares for Maryland High School Prom Season

Prom season is approaching and students are preparing to spend lots of time and resources preparing for the big night. More and more high schools are renting photo booths as a way to provide a memorable memento for the students. Press Pose & Print Photo Booths uses open air photo booths and professional grade equipment that is perfect for this type event. President, Cheronn Collins states, Proms are a special event for many students, an event they share with their date and friendsa night they will always remember. An open air photo booth gives students the option of posing with their dates or a group of friends. They can take as many 4x6 photos as they wish. Everyone in the photo can walk away with a copy of the print.

Photos from the photo booth print on 4x6 photo paper. There are several layouts from which the prom committee can choose. A popular layout is one with a larger photo and three smaller photos underneath. There is a space for the schools name and/or mascot. Another common layout is to have two rows of four photos with a small space at the bottom for the schools name. The prom committee can choose to have the photos uploaded to a website so that all of the photos taken by the photo booth can be viewed.

Press Pose and Print Photo Booths also offers prop boxes which contains things such as odd hats, oversized sunglasses, masks and more.
For more information on photo booths visit http://www.PressPosePrintPhotoBooths.com

Grand Opening of Yasmine Kateb Photography Studio at Olympia Dr., Houston, TX

In time for the wedding season, wedding, portrait and fashion photographer Yasmine Kateb has announced the grand opening of her photography studio Neil Jou Productions Inc., located at 11319 Olympia Dr., Houston, TX.

The studio specializes in contemporary lifestyle portraiture, wedding photography, Fashion photography and glamour photography, modelling photography and portfolios, family fashion photography, couples fashion photography, newborn photography and maternity photography in Houston.

When asked to describe photography, Yasmine said, A photograph is life and time distilled and preserved into immortality. A good photograph of an expressive face not only captures emotion, it also captures history that often brings a smile to our face when the photograph is viewed many years later. A good portfolio can make all the difference between failure and launching a successful modelling career or product.

During our visit to Yasmine Katebs photo studio, she also displayed her online portfolio located on her new website http://www.yasminekateb.com/ . Press reporters such as ourselves seldom view photography as an art. For us, it is merely work an image or images to backup our story. So we took the opportunity to chat with Yasmine Kateb and to see her portfolio.

Her style of best fashion photographer and her dexterity in playing with colours, lights, filters and lenses was amazing. Her portfolio was neatly divided into various categories such as families, maternity and newborn, seniors, babies and kids, bridal portraits, modelling portfolios, corporate photography including staff, buildings, machinery and even product photography. Yasmine is also apt at using software to enhance an already fantastic photograph - it was amazing how in front of our eyes fashion photographer Yasmine Kateb transformed what looked like a picture of a standard electrical generator to look like it was manufactured by super smart beings.

At Neil Jou Productions Inc., a simple smile is no longer a smile; it transforms into a timeless image that captures the essence of each person. Her work is a mix of artful and creative portraiture of special relationships.

Yasmine Katebs photo studio also serves as a client gallery showcasing a variety of framed pieces, canvas gallery wraps, and custom designed albums. Yasmine Kateb is also full of complimentary decor ideas on displaying artwork at the client's home. We had a fantastic time chatting with Yasmine Kateb a persona of such amazing talent.

Etsy Shop Launched as Fashion Originals by Karen for Artisan Hand-Painted One-of-a-Kind Gifts

As the world goes toward off-shore and overseas mass production, more and more Americans seek out USA-made and original, hand-crafted items to spend their hard-earned money on. Etsy has filled a niche with that and a new shop has launched in Etsy, Art Love by Karen, for hand-made original accessories, art and fashion.

Art Love by Karen is run by K. Rishay who has provided high quality contemporary art for the last decade to buyers worldwide. As an artisan on Etsy, she has included hot fashion accessory items like "scarflaces" and hand-painted bracelets and silk scarfs.

"These are items you cannot really find anywhere else as they are truly one-of-a-kind," say K. Rishay. "They are what I call "wearable art" and are more affordable and accessible than art for many."

The shop is an off-shoot of FacetimeART at http://www.facetimeart.com. If you would like more information, visit ArtLovebyKaren at Etsy at http://www.etsy.com/shop/ArtLovebyKaren or email info (at) facetimeart (dot) com.

Artprice partners with Artron, China's leading art market information processor, in a now bipolar global Art Market

Artprice's strategic alliance with Artron represents an unprecedented move with an immediate impact on today's bipolar map of the global Art Market. Among the many synergies expected from this partnership, Artprice's exclusive access to previously unavailable key data concerning the Chinese art market will allow an even truer vision of the global market and will give the two global art- information majors full control over market data processing, market dematerialization activities and an entire range of global art market value chains.
According to Thierry Ehrmann, founder and CEO of Artprice, "this unique and exclusive alliance with Artron will allow total mastery of an art market that has become bipolar (i.e. the West plus Asia)." Artron is the major global player in China and Greater Asia. Artprice and Artron consider their alliance to have been patiently constructed over the years via reciprocal diplomacy in the framework of a long-term strategy. Over the years, Artprice and Artron have developed a thorough understanding of China's leadership ambitions with respect to the global art market.
Beyond the economic interests flowing from the parties' contractual obligations, this alliance will allow Artprice to distribute a fair and accurate picture of the global art market in real time to its global clients, the main news agencies, 6,300 publications worldwide and its 2.3 million members.
In historical terms, China was the world's leading artistic light-house for many centuries. During the 19th and 20th centuries, its relative absence from the West - while it developed its internal market - coincided with the development in the West of the standards, both academic and economic, that prevail in today's global art market. However, this period of relative absence is rapidly closing and China is once again keen to project its influence and culture around the globe.
It is therefore entirely logical for Artron to ally itself with Artprice - the world leader in art market information - in order to promote China's legitimate art market supremacy through the statistical auction data prism that Artprice has imposed on the art market as world leader since 1987.
In exchange, Artron will open the door of "Greater China" to Artprice, allowing it to develop a very strong position for its various business activities in the region alongside a powerful ally and leader in this vast territory.
The know-how of AMMA -Art Market Monitor of Artron- in processing and analysing China's market data and information will ultimately allow Artprice to analyse and decipher the mechanisms of the global art market without any cultural bias. The same is true for Artron whose skills (catalogues, publications, Chinese market data flows and comprehensive databases on the Chinese art market) are perfectly complementary to Artprice's activities. Indeed, based on their respective skills, the two firms will be able to enrich each other's areas of expertise (databases, economic analyses, Standardised Marketplaces, art market econometrics) and will consolidate their already vital roles in the growth and development of the global art market.
The dialogue initiated in the framework of the preparation of Artprice's Annual Art Market Report in early March 2013 is a perfect illustration of the natural alliance between know-how of two companies, both leaders in their respective fields and segments.
As a result of this exclusive alliance, Artprice will be able to diffuse an economically fair and balanced view of the art market in both Asia and the West through its global networks. The alliance with Artron will allow Artprice to apprehend the Asian market with knowledge and information that Artron has taken over 20 years to acquire and develop. This alliance is strictly non- competitive since Artron's activity sectors (publishers, support for Chinese auction operators, newsflows on local art scenes, etc.) are specific to China and are not the same as Artprice's.
The historical objective of AMMA -Art Market Monitor of Artron- and Artprice is to generate major global synergies in the field of art market data analysis and the production of information that is adapted to today's bipolar art market.
About AMMA, a subsidiary of GROUPE Artron

OmniBox Productions Releases Line Dance Lessons on DVD Vol 1 & 2

Salt Lake City, UT (Jan 25, 2013) OmniBox Productions released its newest DVD set Line Dance Lessons on DVD Vol 1 & 2at the beginning of 2013. The DVD set was developed to help people learn to line dance, and to get physical exercise, however, working out is not the focus. Learning to dance and having fun are the focus, which results in low impact cardio exercise that is fun, and doesnt feel like a workout.

There are lots of people out there who have always wanted to learn how to dance, but dont have the time, or the ability to learn the rigorous types of routines that you see on TV. line dancing is simple, easy to learn, and very casual. It provides everyone the opportunity to learn how to dance and there are line dances to fit all ages and ability levels. Even more important is that as people learn to line dance, it gets people into physical activity; though it may not be their purpose for learning, they are exercising and they enjoy it. This new line dance DVD set not only teaches people how to line dance, but helps them get exercise as they practice and learn. Said Jared Moore, the principal instructor featured on the DVDs.

The DVD set includes almost three hours of content. Each DVD in this two disc set includes one hour of instruction, and then is followed by a half hour practice/exercise section, where participants practice what they have learned to music. Giving the DVD set a total of two hours of instruction and one hour of practice/exercise.

With the popularity of dancing increasing throughout the country, largely due to reality TV that focusses on dancing, these DVDs fulfill an interesting demand being seen among the population. This DVD set gives people the ability to learn to line dance right from their living room. It enables them to learn the line dances at their own pace, and in private, so they dont feel as if everyone is watching them.Line Dance Lessons on DVD Vol 1 & 2 helps eliminate the issue of travel, time spent, and cost that are associated with attending weekly dance lessons. This line dance DVD set helps eliminate a lot of the issues that hold people back from learning to dance.

Many people have difficulty exercising due to weight and health conditions. Line Dance Lessons on DVD Vol 1 & 2provides simple and easy, low impact, cardiovascular exercise that is perfect for people who need less strenuous forms of exercise than those found on typical home work out videos. As people learn to line dance, they are simply enjoying a new skill that they have learned. Having fun makes it easier for people to be active and participate in healthy physical activity.

Boat Race Means Easter in London in 2013 is Much More Than a Chocolate Marathon

Easter comes so early this year that the annual Boat Race between Oxford and Cambridge is the pick of the Bank Holiday weekend events in London. Around a quarter of a million spectators will line the banks of the Thames to watch England's two elite universities battle it out on Easter Sunday at 4.30pm - hoping this year's gruelling duel will not be ruined by crazy campaigner trying to test the durability of the oars with his head.

The Boat Race is just one of numerous outdoor events set to keep Londoners and visitors to the capital entertained over the Easter weekend, which starts with Good Friday on 29th March and runs through to Easter Monday on 1st April. Visitors arriving from outside London over the Easter weekend can conveniently book their accommodation on LondonTown.com, where there's a wide range of hotels in London available to suit all budgets.

As is the tradition, chocolate takes centre stage throughout the Easter period with many of London's stately homes and townhouses laying on special egg hunts for those delectable chocolate treats. There are Easter egg hunts and trails at the Cutty Sark in Greenwich, Ham House, Sutton House, Fenton House, Osterley House, Morden Hall Park, Kew Gardens, London Wetlands Centre and Battersea Park Zoo.

A more immersive Easter egg trail takes place throughout London from Friday 22nd March to Monday 1st April, with 101 eggs decorated by leading artists, designers, architects and jewellers hidden in different parts of the city. The Big Egg Hunt has its centre in Covent Garden, where you can pick up a map and get some hunting tips from a series of 'Eggsperts'. If you're cunning enough to find Humpty Dumpty you'll be in with a chance of winning a year's supply of Lindt chocolate!

Easter isn't just about gorging on chocolate - it's an important date in the Christian calendar commemorating the day Jesus Christ died and rose again. On Good Friday, Trafalgar Square hosts The Passion of Jesus, an incredible recreation of the story of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus - and a poignant reminder as to why we give chocolate eggs in the first place. Also on Good Friday, at 2.30pm, the 140th anniversary of Handel's Messiah is remembered with the Royal Choral Society's annual rendition of the famous oratio - a Royal Opera House tradition stretching back to 1878. Taking place simultaneously over at The Barbican, the Academy of Music performs Bach's masterpiece St John Passion, which musically narrates the events leading to the crucifixion of Christ.

Besides the Boat Race (and the Spitalfield's City Farm spin-off Goat Race) there are other sporting challenges taking place over the Easter weekend, with Bank Holiday Monday seeing the conclusion of the Devizes to Westminster International Canoe Challenge and Regent's Park hosting the London Easter 10K run. Other highlights of the Easter weekend include the opening of the British Museum's Life and Death in Pompeii and Herculaneum exhibition and the second weekend of David Bowie Is... at the Victoria & Albert Museum.

For children in need of distractions from sweet treats, both London Zoo's brand new Tiger Territory and the revamped London Dungeons open in time for the Easter holidays. Grown-ups can enjoy the blues rock of fabled American guitarist Joe Bonamassa at Royal Albert Hall on Saturday 30th March, or take in one of the many shows featured in the annual London International Ska Festival. Foodies can also sample tasty treats from all corners of the globe in the Real Street Food Festival on the South Bank throughout the Bank Holiday.

And if you've found the whole weekend rather stressful and serious, then lighten up - Easter Monday is also April Fools' Day and there's a special Comedy Concert taking place at the Royal Festival Hall.

This press release includes extracts from LondonTown.com's Easter in London feature - a comprehensive guide to everything going on in the capital over the Easter Bank Holiday. Whether you want to find out which churches are putting on special Easter services, where to book a family friendly hotel in London, where to take your own little bunnies for an Easter egg hunt to savour, or where best to stock your Easter larder full of hot cross buns, simnel cake, fish, roast lamb or other treats, LondonTown.com's Easter in London feature is the answer.

Anna states this about her art and the creative process, "Working with visual installations is what I find most stimulating. Not only is this an intellectual process, it also provides "spiritual nutrients" to the mind." She goes on to explain her approach to her art, "An attempt to approach art not only at an aesthetic level but as an intellectual phenomenon as well, a dialogue, possibly a provocation, which should be acted upon. The objects themselves are nothing more than everyday items from daily life, transformed and seen in a new context. There is constant play with light and form whether the subject is an inanimate object, an architectural environment or a model." Her incredible website is http://www.annazavileiskaia.com.

8 Unusual Party Venues: Leeds

The stylish, lively and vibrant city of Leeds has become renowned for its plethora of bars, restaurants and nightlife. In the UK's second largest financial city, people work hard and play hard, so parties are well catered for and revelers will be spoilt for choice. But what if you want to make a real impact with unconventional surroundings? If you're looking for unusual party venues, Leeds has plenty to choose from.

For a large corporate event that demands an exclusive event space, or a children's venue for a party, Leeds favourites on Call Lane or Park Row simply won't do. Events managers might instead like to consider some of the following civic buildings, museums and unconventional party venues:

* Leeds Art Gallery - The home of contemporary art in Yorkshire is one of the most creative party venues Leeds has to offer.
* Leeds City Museum - A great venue for childrens' parties where kids can: "Come face-to-face with the Leeds tiger, step into Ancient Worlds to meet Nesyamun, the Leeds mummy and dig for fossils in the Life on Earth gallery."
* Leeds Industrial Museum - Formerly the largest woollen mill in the world, this historical building will appeal to those with a love of history.
* Leeds Museum Discovery Centre - School groups and members of the public can book a trip to see where all the museum's artifacts are catalogued and stored for an unusual party activity day.
* Leeds Town Hall - One of the most architecturally stunning unusual party venues, Leeds Town Hall will add gravitas to any corporate event or ball.
* Pudsey Civic Hall - With a choice of five spacious rooms and free parking for visitors, Pudsey Civic Hall combines outstanding value for money with flexible and versatile spaces.
* Temple Newsam House - Temple Newsam is one of the most admired historic houses in the north of England.
* The Carriageworks - As well as a theatre space for performances, The Carriageworks has a number of rooms for parties of various sizes - all located straight off Millennium Square right in the centre of Leeds.

Leeds has no shortage of impressive city centre cultural venues and civic buildings that will inspire and delight your guests, whatever their requirements.

If you would like to find out more about unusual venue for party, Leeds Venues can provide pricing and booking information on all of the above venues. Contact them via the website at: http://leedsvenues.org.uk/

Casting Hub Twins Get Signed with a Major Talent Agency in Arizona

When CASTINGHUB (casting hub) Talent Advisor Pedja Igic met twin sisters Taylor and Mackenzie and their mother he immediately fell in love with their family. For a child to truly thrive in the entertainment industry they must have a strong foundation with supportive parents. Taylor and Mackenzie had just that; a mom that loved them and that was dedicated to helping her daughters succeed. Now, half way into their time with CASTINGHUB (casting hub) the Vaughn sisters got connected with an outstanding agency in their home town of Phoenix called "The Young Agency".

The Young Agency has an amazing reputation for being legitimate and representing the most talented models, actors, singers and dancers since 1996. It is no surprise why they are thrilled to work with CASTINGHUB (casting hub) members Taylor and Mackenzie Vaughn. In the last 15 years this agency has worked directly with major TV Networks such as NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX and many more. Their talent can be seen in campaigns like Disney, Kraft Foods, NASCAR, Huggies, and JC Pennys. They have even had their talent sign with top casting director Catherine Stroud, who discovered teen superstar Miley Cyrus. The CASTINGHUB (casting hub) team is excited for the Vaughn family and looking forward to seeing what The Young Agency is able to do for them.

Other CASTINGHUB (casting hub) Talent Advisors that helped make the decision to take Taylor and Mackenzie on included Blake Michael, Bernadette Heyer, Erik Sykes, Alexis Rosasco, Elle Mitchel, Taryn Jones and Gloria Giacomoni. CASTINGHUB has an A+ Rating on the BBB

Casting Hub Review By Taylor and Mackenzie's Mom:

"In October 2012 I took my 15 year old twin girls to the Casting Hub audition in Phoenix. The girls had a lot of fun at the audition.....they did a commercial and sang for Pedja. We loved the staff and decided to become members.

Since joining casting hub and providing them with headshots the doors started to open for us. We started receiving calls from agents and after talking with a couple of them we decided to sign a two year non- exclusive contract.

We are in the process of getting professional photos and have submitted for jobs thru Casting Hub as well as through our agent. We can't wait to land our first job!

The staff at Casting Hub has been incredible! They have called to check up on us and ask if we had any questions. I told them about signing with an agent and they seemed nearly as excited for us as we were.

I highly recommend Casting Hub! I have spent thousands of dollars on acting classes which got us no where. I also have learned that the high dollar professional photos really aren't immediately needed. I wish I would have known about Casting Hub ten years ago.

Sincerely,
Dawn Vaughn"

Top UK magicians return to London's West End after 100 years

This unique show includes TV illusionists High Jinx, the multi-award winning magic of Richard Griffin, London's king of comedy magic, Christian Lee, the classic conjury of Oliver Tabor and one of the UK's top ventriloquists, Steve Hewlett.

"The line-up of talent is incredible", the show's producer explains. "A selection of the acts represented Britain in the FISM World Magic Championships, known as the Olympics of Magic and between them have won major awards from the Magic Circle, the British Magical Championships and the International Brotherhood of Magicians. It's going to be an amazing show."

The show takes magic back to the heart of the West End, to the original site of its golden age, back in the early 20th Century when magic in London was at its peak. When the likes of Houdini, Chung Ling Soo and David Devant performed at venues such the Hippodrome and the Egyptian Hall, both of which were located within wand-waving distance of the Leicester Square Theatre.

West End Magic promises family audiences a unique chance to see a fabulous collection of magic acts selected from some of the best Britain has to offer.

SECOND ANNUAL NATIONAL MOTH WEEK
JULY 20-28, 2013

The Second Annual National Moth Week (www.nationalmothweek.org) is being held across the world from July 20-28, 2013. The first National Moth Week was held in July 2012 and was extremely successful with participants in 49 U.S. states and 29 countries.

National Moth Week provides a much-needed spotlight on moths and their ecological importance as well as their incredible biodiversity. Numerous organizations have partnered with National Moth Week and are supporting the event. Popular interest in moths is rapidly growing as noted by the recent publication of the new Peterson Field Guide to the Moths by David Beadle and Seabrooke Leckie, moth caterpillar guides by David Wagner and a vast number of natural history and moth-oriented Internet resources.

National Moth Week offers everyone, everywhere a unique opportunity to become a Citizen Scientist and contribute scientific data about moths. Through partnerships with major online biological data depositories such as Project Noah, Discover Life, Moth Photographers Group, BAMONA and BugGuide, National Moth Week participants can help map moth distribution and provide needed information on other life history aspects.

Why moths? Moths are among the most diverse organisms on earth. Estimates of the number of moth species range from about 150,000 to more than 500,000. For many, even the most basic information is lacking. Moths offer endless options for study, education, photography, and fun. Moths can be found everywhere from inner cities to suburban backyards, and the most wild and remote places. The diversity of moths is simply astounding. Their colors and patterns are either dazzling or so cryptic that they define camouflage. Shapes and sizes span the gamut with some as small as a pinhead and others as large as an adult hand. Most moths are nocturnal, and need to be sought at night to be seen others fly like butterflies during the day. Finding moths is easy and can be as simple as leaving a porch light on and checking it after dark. Serious moth aficionados use special lights and baits to attract them. Moths are also featured widely in literature and art providing a different angle for enjoyment and study. Moth Nights are often held by nature groups and allow an opportunity for an introduction to the creatures or for more serious pursuits.
National Moth Week brings together everyone interested in moths to celebrate these amazing insects. This summer groups and individuals from all the across the world will spend some time during National Moth Week looking for moths and sharing what theyve found. Getting involved during National Moth Week is easy: attend a Moth Night event, start an event, join friends and neighbors and check porch lights from time to time, set up a light and see what is in your own backyard, read literature about moths, etc. But no matter what, participate; the richness of moths is sure to fascinate. National Moth Week: Exploring Nighttime Nature.
If youd like more information about National Moth Week or to participate and register a location, visit the website at www.nationalmothweek.org, email us at dmoskowitz@ecolsciences.com or liti@nationalmothweek.org.

Fine Asian Art and Antiques Sale At Kaminski Features Impressive Pieces

High quality Chinese items shone at Kaminski Auctions recent Fine Asian Art and Antiques sale, held on Saturday, January 26. Over four hundred lots reached the auctioneers podium over the course of the six-hour sale for a day of competitive in person, online, and over the phone bidding.

From ceramic s, to jade and ivory, the auction offered a variety of valuable items from Asia. The top lot of the day, however, belonged to none of those familiar categories. The striking top lot, an antique zitan wooden throne, sparked a frenzy of bidding that drove the price far and away above the original estimate of $6,000.00 to $8,000.00. Ultimately sold for $29,000.00, the stunning throne featured elaborate carved designs. A carved dragon encircled with a fire and cloud pattern highlighted the back panel. Dragons decorating the armrests continued the intricate motif.

The other top lots of the sale, although smaller in size, made a similarly large impression upon the bidding audience. A green jadeite bangle from the nineteenth century also sold well above estimate. The elegant, gold embellished piece carried an estimate of $600.00 to $900.00, but initiated quick and competitive online bidding that finally brought the price to $5,500.00.

Many ceramic pieces also sold above estimate. Particularly noteworthy were the few fine examples of famille rose and famille vert ceramics among the top lots of the sale. One such lot was Lot 7087, a famille vert vase in the gu form with four dragons and a floral scrolling pattern. This eye-catching piece captured significant interest and reached $4,750.00, far more than its estimated $800.00 to $1,200.00 value.

A famille rose figure of a reclining happy Buddha also commanded the interest of the audience. The exceptional sculpted and painted detail of this Buddha drove the price above the original high estimate. The popular piece sold for $2,100.00. A famille rose candleholder that carried a Jia Qing mark on the base, scrolling flower designs and auspicious marks, sold for $3,250.00.

An exceptional set of three export rose mandarin Chinese platters from the early nineteenth century, was also among the top selling lots of the auction. The platter set was finely decorated with a wide figural borders running around central cartouches of butterflies and vegetables. It sold for $3,250.00.

Two more unusual lots piqued special interest with the auctions in-person and online audience. An atypical ivory box from eighteenth century Mughal Empire of India attracted many bidders. The intriguing box was labeled Spink and Son #11 and was affixed with silver handles that emphasized intricate carvings covering the box. The box sold at its high estimate of $4,000.00.

A remarkable set of ten collectable Chinese one Jiao bank notes rounded out the top ten lots of the sale. The 1960 bank notes were marked with the serial number IV IX 9412164-9412171, and sold for a high $3,250.00.

Other items of interest included a brown agate Dzai bead, which sold for above the $800.00 high estimate for $1,100.00.

The Fine Asian Art and Antiques sale wrapped up a busy month of auction for Kaminski. The successful auction saw the sale of many valuable Asian objects to a substantial phone and in person audience, as well as over 321 Internet bidders, with a total of $165,000.00 in online sales. Orthodontist in Buffalo Grove Shares Art/Science Link With Young Artists

In honor of National Children's Dental Health Month, which is observed each February, students from a local art studio are learning how Dr. Yan Razdolsky uses art and science to create gorgeous smiles for his patients.

Students from Art Studio Artishock are visiting Razdolsky's office to see how he pairs art and science to correct bite, jaw and alignment discrepancies in patients.

"I've always enjoyed the artistic aspects of orthodontics," says Razdolsky, an orthodontist in Buffalo Grove.

Talia Prilutsky, an Artishock instructor, says she seeks opportunities to expose her students to experiences outside the studio.

"Teaching art involves more than studio work," Prilutsky says. "There must be a variety of experiences so students gain broader knowledge bases to draw from when I give them projects."

Prilutsky is excited for the students to learn about the features of the skull and the jaws, as well as the tools Razdolsky and his staff use daily.

After the fieldtrip, she will assign a project related to what the students learned from it. Then Razdolsky's office will display the students' artwork.

Prilutsky says Razdolsky's office, Forever Smiles, is an ideal exhibition space because it's kid-friendly, and several students also are his patients.

"Having a public exhibition space to display their work is good for the students," she says. "It's a real self-esteem builder."

Razdolsky can't wait to see the artwork the students create, he says.

Well Known Artist Pledges to Donate 9/11 Twin Towers And Help Raise Over $400 Million for Charity

Richard Sean Manning is a prolific artist, with substantial studios is Lockport, New York and St Petersburg, Florida.

He works in a number of mediums, including paint, wood, metal, glass and clay, creating art to benefit others. He uses upwards of 5 tons of clay each year, and his ceramic art is sought after by private collectors and museums.

Inspired to commemorate all those who lost their lives on that date now woven into American history, he has committed to create a series of ceramic '9/11 Twin Towers' to donate to museums across the country to mark each anniversary.

The first permanent exhibit valued at $65K, was installed at the Great Explorations Children's Museum which is located in St Petersburg, Florida.

"My aim is to help open a dialogue about unity through art, between educators and students who were not even born on 9/11/01, and to give pause for a moment of silence for all of us to never forget what happened on that fateful day." says Richard Sean Manning.

Cognizant of the need to raise funds to add a 9/11 curriculum to programming at museums prompted the artist to paint a series of Unity Art.

Together with his business partner, Laura Manning, they co-founded The Manning Arts as a platform to help 501c3 organizations raise money for worthy causes through an online gallery of original art.

Mr Manning has pledged to paint 3000 original works of art as a memorial to all those who perished in the Twin Towers on 9/11.

Even though his paintings are inspired by this tragic event, they are diverse in color and content and raise social awareness.

Laura Manning manages the back end of the business, photographing and documenting each work of art and maintaining the online art gallery.

She works with 501c3 organizations who register online to participate in The Manning Arts innovative fundraising initiative that has the potential of raising over $400 million for worthy causes.

'It sounds like a lot of money, but when you do the math, and figure that each original is available in a numbered series of 550 fine quality giclee prints, in 3 sizes, representing 1650 options per original, it's almost 5 million works of art." states Laura Manning.

Participating charities are assigned a unique URL that links them to The Manning Arts online art gallery, which they can upload to their website and share with their supporters.

The success of this fundraiser is based on getting the word out to loyal supporters to click on the link and purchase a work of art for their home, office or as a gift.

Included in every purchase is a 66% tax deductible, charitable contribution from the supporter to the charity that originates the order through their unique link.

At point of sale, funds are split by PayPal using an adapted payment integration that instantly deposits 66% of the proceeds of the order into the charity PayPal account.

The remaining 34% is deposited to The Manning Arts PayPal account and covers the cost of fulfilling the order, including handling and shipping directly to the supporter. It's as simple as that!

To see how it works, visit http://www.TheManningArts.org/GreatEx and purchase a work of art to benefit the Great Explorations Children's Museum.

To inquire about your museum receiving a donation of a one of a kind pair of '9/11 Twin Towers' as a permanent exhibit, or to register your 501c3 organization to participate in this unique fundraiser, please visit http://www.TheManningArts.org.

RJ Parrish to Guest Star in New HBO Show

Toronto-born actor RJ Parrish will guest star in an episode of the new HBO show, Transporter: The Series, in an episode called 'City of Love', slated to air February 22 at 9pm on HBO Canada.

In the episode, Parrish plays the role of gang leader, Gassam, a 'bad boy' who will stop at nothing to avenge the killing of his brother. Meanwhile, the protagonist, Frank, having realized that the package he is carrying is a bomb intended for use in a terrorist attack on Paris, is rushing to stop Gassam, enlisting the help of Gassam's sister who also wants to prevent her brother from carrying out an irrevocable and disastrous act of terrorism, using her connections with the French secret service to protect him.

Parrish's edgy look helps his portrayal of tough guy roles such as Gassam. One of his earliest successes was in a CBC made-for-TV movie, Diverted, in 2009 where he played the role of Ahmed, an innocent young passenger traveling to the US who becomes stereotyped as a terrorist following the devastating events of 9/11. While involved in this role, Parrish had the opportunity to hear some of the personal stories of the people of Gander, Newfoundland who played host to many stranded travelers in the immediate aftermath of the terrorist attacks. "I use my personal life experiences as the launching pad for my creative acting," says Parrish.

Parrish has also had the opportunity to work with actor David Suchet whom he credits with giving him a love for Shakespeare and stage acting. True to his 'bad guy' persona, Parrish has captivated audiences all over North America with his portrayal of Tybalt, Juliet's cousin in Romeo and Juliet. He has played this role many times for different theater companies, including performances at the prestigious Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre in Winnipeg. In Winnipeg, he was described in the media as "a physically scary warrior, ever ready to crush the enemy".

Unlike his 'bad guy' stage persona, RJ Parrish is a calm, down-to-earth actor whose success can be attributed to his determination and discipline. To learn more or to contact RJ, visit http://www.rjparrish.com.
