At the time we had been thinking of the concept of having editorial style shoots for a while, but were still playing with the idea. begins CEO and founder of Model Launcher, Mansfield Staniford. We thought of using past winners, but then we saw Caseys submission photo and instantly knew she would be perfect for our editorial shoot. There was something in her that just clicked with the camera, and we couldnt let go of it. We wanted to move some time in between contest auditions and decided to hand pick Casey to test out the new shoot format.
Model Launcher.com is a competition based website that offers aspiring models, both male and female from ages 13 and up, a platform to be discovered through various online themed modeling contests. Every contest on the website is powered by public voting, and the contestants are encouraged to share their voting links through assorted popular social media networks such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest and so on in order to increase their chances at winning. This was the first editorial style photo shoot for Model Launcher, but definitely not the last. They plan to continue to partner with other major fashion labels to offer other contestants in the Model Launcher community the same opportunity at an editorial style photo shoot featuring the exclusive brands.
Its still hard to believe that despite not winning a contest I still received this unbelievable opportunity with Model Launcher, begins the newest member of the Model Launcher Winners Circle, Casey DCarrion. Im really proud to be a non-winning team member alongside Elizabeth Bujans. Because of these new editorial style photo shoots, non-winners like me still have the opportunity to travel to Miami for a professional photo shoot. The entire experience was incredible! I loved the clothing we used, and John Fisher really helped me loosen up in front of the camera to get some great shots.
Casey remembers looking at the Victorias Secret Angels in the catalogs when she was younger, and being mesmerized by their beauty. She was instantly inspired by them and decided to pursue her dreams of modeling since then. Now, Casey is the proud mother to a beautiful, lively two year old boy named Niko, and works as a hairstylist at the Nemacolin Woodlands Resort and Spa while still pursuing a career in modeling. She brought her son with her to Miami, and stayed with family friends in Boynton Beach, just north of the Magic City. After enjoying the sights that came along with her photo shoot, Casey also enjoyed the natural views of the Green Cay Nature Center and Wetlands in Boynton Beach with her son.
Previous Model Launcher winners have been featured in various news and media placements such as CNBC.com, Examiner.com and many more. Brandi Vicks of Model Launcher also appeared as a model on Bravos hit reality show, Project Runway. Previous teen winner Alexandra Romanescu was also honored as a Style Winner for Teen Model Magazine. The online modeling competition website has opened their site to unique partnership and advertisement opportunities for various businesses such as fashion brands, hair and beauty product companies, photographers, modeling agencies, etc. These businesses can choose from many different advertising packages offered by Model Launcher to fit the many distinctive needs of each company.
