Paragon Cafe West Wyalong Coffee Spot Responds to a Recent Latte-Art Competition

A current article in the Sunshine Coast Daily highlights the latest latte-art competition in Mooloolaba, winning the attention of Paragon Cafe West Wyalong beloved diner. The report announces the first place winner of the competition, Husk and Honey Cafe's barista Elliot Gwynne for his perfected ability to create a rich and smooth work of art. The article notes the barista has "honed his skills and crafted the knack of creating pleasing art atop his lattes."

His creativity is recognized at the latte-art competition and the Paragon Cafe West Wyalong coffee spot comments on his approach to an unconventional design. "Our staff believes coffee is art, which is why we also train our baristas to go above and beyond the exceptional taste of espresso," they said. "Our baristas decorate drinks with impressive latte art, providing a unique spin on the traditional drink."

Elliot Gwynne continues to confess that the secret is in the milk and ample practice, allowing quality latte art to undergo judgment in the three main areas: difficulty, symmetry and contrast of the cream and crema. "It's a combination of the perfect espresso and well-textured milk," he said. "But it all comes down to how much you have practiced pouring."

The baristas at the Paragon Cafe could not agree more. The coffee spot responds to his sentiments by describing the coffee they rely on. "Our loyal customers enjoy the Australian-born coffee because of the smooth-tasting varieties that are available through Oasis Griffiths Coffee," they said. "The distribution company uses a roasting technique to ensure that the original flavors are prominent in the coffee. Hand-crafted coffee is all about utilizing the roasted flavor without diminishing the natural smooth taste. Oasis Griffiths is ideal because they create specialty blends and roasts consumers love."

Husk and Honey's praised barista continues to comment on how he perfected his skill, which became evident as he took home the first place price along with the Good Bean Espresso Bar barista Naomi Marvel at the latte-art competition. "It was a combination of two traditional designs - the hanging heart and the rosetta. The owner of Husk and Honey Tashi Collins remarks on how quality latte-art can enhance the drinker's experience by noting, "People get so excited about the patterns. They absolutely love it; you can see it on their face when you take it to the table."

The cafe in West Wyalong also comments on the importance of invested baristas. "The baristas here truly have an enriched love for coffee," she said. "Not only do they make beautiful latte-art designs, but they manage to demonstrate strategy and efficiency that keeps our customers happy and business moving. When you set yourself apart because of the small details like latte-art, you have to know how to manage a busy rush. They are passionate about providing exceptional coffee beverages to the community," said Paragon Cafe West Wyalong diner.
