Author J. K. Bowden Announces the Next Release in Bioweapon Series and an Exciting Competition for Graphic Artists
Author Jeremy K. Bowden has brought together a world in which our greatest fears and our wildest dreams are simultaneously brought to life. The essence of the story is in its social commentary, but the plot itself is thoroughly engaging and packed with action and suspense. It follows the adventures of scientifically enhanced super-human characters as they battle to bring freedom back to humanity, whatever the cost.
With the first edition of his first novel, New Beginnings, making its mark on the indie scene, Bowden has big plans for the release of his second novel, Deliverance, which he hints will be available around October. In the meantime he is working on ironing out the kinks in his first edition, and aims to re-release New Beginnings with all new content, character development, and concept art, including a new cover. He is hosting a competition for emerging artists to have a chance at having their art published in the re-release of New Beginnings, which he hopes to bring out in conjunction with his next novel, Deliverance.
The next novel promises to bring with it a host of new characters, some terrifying and others beautiful, as he draws upon current sciences to develop his 'Bioweapons' - biological weapons carved out of living humans by elite scientists. Far from being limited to biological weaponry in the form of viruses and disease, Bowden gives a whole new meaning to the term as humans are transformed into living, breathing weapons with varying powers and loyalties.
Bowden states, "I love graphic novels and manga, and the idea of collaborating with other artists has always appealed to me. I would love nothing more than to see peoples imaginings of my characters brought to life through their talents, and then to print those images within the pages of the novel itself."
The competition is now open to anyone who wants to contribute, and he is offering free copies of his e-book as a preliminary prize, simply for signing up. Other prizes will be announced as the competition develops, but Bowden hopes to promote all finalists globally and work with them again on future commissioned projects in the name of artistic collaboration.
The author can be reached via the New Beginnings Facebook page for any inquiries relating to the competition, or via the contact page on his website.
